These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Service. They collect information anonymously and help us improve our website and services.

Affiliate referral tracking (Referralful):

We use Referralful, an affiliate and referral tracking service that acts on our behalf, to credit the affiliate whose link you arrived through if you later sign up and subscribe. Its script is loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net and communicates with api.referralful.com. The script is loaded only when all of the following are true: you are logged out, you are on a public or sign-up page (for example the home, pricing, comparison, product, privacy, terms, cookies, support, status, affiliates, login, register or onboarding pages), and you have enabled the Analytics category. If you disable Analytics, the cookie is removed and the page reloads.

Session recordings and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity):

On our public marketing pages (the home, pricing, comparison, product, privacy, terms, cookies and status pages) we use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use them: clicks, scrolling, the pages viewed, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, shown to us as recordings and heatmaps. By default Clarity masks text typed into form fields, numbers and email addresses, and does not upload them. Clarity is loaded from clarity.ms and sets two first-party cookies on motorical.com: _clck (a pseudonymous visitor identifier) and _clsk (joins your page views into one session). Microsoft's own documentation lists further cookies on its domains (CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM). We always tell Clarity that advertising storage is denied, so our setup does not run Microsoft's advertising cookie synchronisation.

Clarity is loaded only when all of the following are true: you are logged out, you are on one of those public pages, and you have enabled the Analytics category. It is never loaded on the sign-in, sign-up or any logged-in page. If you disable Analytics, we tell Clarity, remove its cookies and reload the page. Microsoft keeps recordings for 30 days (favourited and sampled recordings for up to 9 months). See Microsoft's Privacy Statement and Clarity's cookie list.

Once per browser session the script sends Referralful an account identifier and the address of the page being viewed. When you arrive through an affiliate link it additionally sends the link token, the landing page address, the page that referred you (referrer) and any existing referral identifier. These requests are sent without cookies. If you have a referral identifier when you create an account, we store it with your account and, when you subscribe, pass it to Stripe as the checkout reference. Referralful is connected to our Stripe account and receives the resulting customer record (Stripe customer ID, email address and purchase amounts) to work out the affiliate's commission. We do not use the referral identifier for advertising profiles and do not share it with anyone other than Stripe and Referralful. See our Privacy Policy for details. To withdraw, turn off the Analytics toggle above and click "Save Cookie Preferences".

Storage: Cookies (aff_ref, aff_d) and sessionStorage (aff_seen)

Note: We do not use advertising cookies. The only cookie we use for a marketing-related purpose is the affiliate referral cookie (aff_ref) described above, used solely to credit the affiliate who referred you.
